Roads & Driveways in Northern Colorado.
From rural ranch drives to subdivision streets — properly cut, based, crowned, and surfaced.
About Roads & Driveways.
A good driveway or private road is invisible. It just works — drains correctly, doesn't rut, doesn't pothole, holds up when the propane truck or the concrete pumper or the lowboy comes down it. A bad one costs you money every year in regrades, gravel hauls, and frustration. The difference is almost entirely in what happens before the surface goes down: route selection, sub-grade prep, base depth, and crown for runoff.
NLS builds roads and driveways across Northern Colorado that get all of that right the first time. From a 200-foot residential entry off a county road to a half-mile ranch drive with culverts and grade changes, to private subdivision streets and access roads for new construction — we're reading the soils, the slope, and the storm-water pattern before we ever cut. The result is a surface that lasts and a maintenance schedule that's measured in years, not seasons.
We can finish in the surface that fits your use and your budget — Class 6 road base, recycled asphalt millings (a great hard-pack option for rural drives), or crushed chip with mag-chloride dust suppression. We'll talk through the trade-offs honestly so you pick what fits.

Why NLS for roads & driveways.
We compete on getting the dirt right the first time. Hire us once, hire us again — and tell your neighbor. That's the whole business plan.
Right depth of base for the load you actually run on it — concrete trucks, lowboys, RVs, daily commute.
A road or drive without proper crown is a future pothole farm. We build with positive runoff baked in.
Where drainage crosses your route, we size the culvert for actual storm flow — not whatever was in the truck.
Road base, recycled asphalt, chip + mag-chloride — we explain costs and trade-offs so you choose with eyes open.
Common questions.
How wide should my driveway be? +
For most residential properties we recommend 12–14 ft of running surface. Hammerheads or pull-outs on long drives.
Will the road hold up to delivery trucks? +
Yes — when built with the right base depth and compaction, our roads handle concrete trucks and lowboys.
Do you install culverts? +
Yes. We size, set, and bed culverts where drainage crosses the route.
Can you do recycled asphalt? +
Absolutely — millings make a great low-cost, hard-pack surface for rural drives.
